On first launch the app creates an ANONYMOUS account: a random technical identifier, with no email, no password and no name. We do not know who you are.

You may later link that account to your Apple ID if you want to recover your progress on another device. ARDENT then asks Apple for NEITHER your name NOR your email address: only a stable, opaque identifier is exchanged. Until you do, no identifying data exists.

Nothing beyond the following:

• Your answers to the fourteen onboarding questions, and the score computed from them.
• Your age bracket. It enforces the minimum age of sixteen, and it places your score against other people your age — only once two hundred answers exist in your bracket, and never with a made-up figure below that.
• Your main goal, picked at the end of the onboarding read.
• The challenges you follow: the ones you pick from the catalogue, and the text of the ones you write yourself. Those are private: they belong to your account alone and nobody else sees them.
• The challenges you complete: the challenge id, the day, and the experience earned.
• Your progression: level, experience, streak, jokers, avatar vitality.
• If you retake the diagnostic after a long absence, that new result.
• Your subscription status, and the payment events Apple passes to us: purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund. Never your card number, which we never see.

Two of the onboarding questions ask how often you smoke and drink. European regulation gives special protection to data capable of revealing health.

Those two answers are used only to compute your score and to decide which challenges are offered to you first. They are never shared, never used for advertising, never combined with anything else.

What you declare is up to you: no answer is verified, and you can erase them at any time by deleting your account from the app.

This list matters as much as the previous one:

• No location data.
• No access to your contacts, microphone or camera.
• No reading of your photos. The app can only ADD one, if you ask it to: the progress card you choose to save. It never opens your photo library and never looks inside it.
• No advertising identifier, no ad tracker, no pixel.
• No sale of data. Never, to anyone, in any form.
• No health data in the medical sense: ARDENT diagnoses nothing and treats nothing.

None. Not even the ones sites call necessary. That is why you saw no banner when you arrived: there is nothing to accept, and nothing to refuse.

The site loads nothing from anywhere else either — no audience measurement, no remote font, no pixel. Nobody else learns that you came here.

In the European Union. The database is hosted in Paris, with Supabase, on European infrastructure.

Some data stays only on your phone and never leaves it: your sound and vibration preferences, the history of the days you held, and the challenge catalogue cached so the app works offline.

We use only the following processors, and no others:

• Supabase — hosting of the database and the accounts · European Union (Paris, eu-west-3)
• Apple — distribution of the app and collection of subscription payments · United States, under standard contractual clauses
• RevenueCat — technical management of the subscriptions · United States, under standard contractual clauses
• Vercel — hosting of the getardent.app website (IP address in technical logs) · United States, under standard contractual clauses
• Zoho — hosting of the contact@getardent.app mailbox (messages received and sent) · European Union (zoho.eu data center)

Nothing on their own initiative. Each one acts only for the task listed above, on our instructions, and may not use your data for its own purposes, sell it, or reuse it for anything else. That is what the contract binding them says, and what European regulation requires.

Three of them are established in the United States — Apple and RevenueCat for the subscriptions, Vercel for the pages of this site. Those transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Your answers, your progress and your habits do not leave the European Union.

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. As soon as you delete it, the data is erased from our servers and from your phone.

One exception, written here rather than left out: the payment journal. The events Apple passes to us — purchase, renewal, cancellation, refund — stay recorded after the account is deleted. They are no longer attached to it, but the raw record sent by our payment provider still holds the technical identifier that used to designate that account. They exist to handle a refund or a dispute that arrives later, and contain no name, no address and no payment method.

Apple and RevenueCat keep their own billing records, under their own policies: deleting your account here does not erase the purchase history of your Apple ID, which we have no access to.

Diagnostic results feed anonymous averages by age bracket. Once computed, those averages can no longer be traced back to a person.

From the app: Profile tab, then “Delete my account”. Two taps, one confirmation that tells you exactly what disappears, and it is done. No request to write, no waiting.

Deletion is permanent and immediate: neither your progress, nor your answers, nor your history can be recovered afterwards.

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability set out in European regulation.

Two of them need no letter at all: in the Profile tab, “Export my data” writes a readable file containing everything attached to your account, and “Delete my account” erases your data. For the others, write to contact@getardent.app.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).

ARDENT is for sixteen and over. The app checks age on the very first question and stops immediately below it, and the App Store listing is rated at the same age: some of the subjects it covers are not for anyone younger.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A significant change — such as adding a new processor — will be announced in the app.
